Privacy Policy

Hawthorn Media & Consulting

Effective date: September 25, 2026

Hawthorn Media & Consulting ("Hawthorn," "we," "us") provides marketing, advertising and consulting services. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and through the software tools we operate, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company and message when you fill out a form on this site or email us.

Automatic information: our website host and analytics tools record your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and referring site through cookies and similar technologies.

Client campaign data: when we run advertising for clients, we process audience and performance data inside advertising platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn and Google on the client's behalf.

2. Meta Platform Tools

We operate internal software that connects to Meta's Marketing API to build and manage advertising campaigns in ad accounts and Facebook Pages that we or our clients administer. These tools act only on accounts that have authorized us. They do not collect personal information from Facebook or Instagram users, do not offer a public login, and do not sell or share platform data. Information received from Meta is used only to create, review and report on advertising campaigns and is kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to respond to inquiries and provide services, to operate, secure and improve this website and our tools, to run and measure advertising campaigns for clients, and to meet legal and contractual obligations. We do not sell personal information.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate (website hosting, email, analytics and advertising platforms), with clients for whom we run campaigns to the extent needed for their campaign, and when required by law. Service providers may use the information only to perform services for us.

5. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Advertising platforms may set cookies or pixels on our pages when we run campaigns, and their use is governed by their own policies.

6. Data Retention

We keep contact information for as long as we have a business relationship with you or as needed to respond to you. We keep campaign data for the period needed for reporting and recordkeeping. After that we delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing the address below. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws, and residents of the European Union or the United Kingdom, may have additional rights under those laws, which we will honor as required.

8. Data Deletion Instructions

To request deletion of any data we hold about you, including any data received through Meta platforms, email vince@hawthorn.consulting with the subject line "Data deletion request" and describe the data or account involved. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep the information.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Children

This website and our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
